2024 was a year of musical comfort with numerous album releases from beloved legacy acts. These artists are not chasing past glories. They still have something to say. Their new albums resonate with my 48-year-old self as deeply as their classics did when I was 15. We’re aging together, and the music reflects this shared journey. Some younger artists (e.g., Fontaines D.C., The Brother Brothers) managed to crack this list. Perhaps, 2025 will force me to embrace the new.
